Northwest Football Awards 2011
Last night saw the region’s finest in the footballing world awarded for their excellence at the Northwest Football Awards 2011. Backed by the likes of FIFA, The PFA and The Football Foundation, the awards recognise the region’s thriving football scene and those who make it a success on and off pitch; using their talent and expertise in marketing and various sponsorship and community initiatives.
The awards took place at Lancashire County Cricket Club in Manchester and as usual were a huge success. Highlights included a much honoured speech from PFA Chief Executive, Gordon Taylor OBE who was presented with the lifetime achievement award and Goal of the Year awarded to Wayne Rooney.
